Haircare hacks for the holidays

We asked Monique Mcmahon, Colour director at @quecolour which products she can't live without this summer.

1. Trim before swim. Freshly trimmed hair will cope more better with salt, sun and chlorine soaked summer months. Fewer split ends for a start.

2. Low-foam shampoo. So much more gentle than regular ones which can strip natural oils from your hair and scalp, leaving it more vulnerable to colour fade (and sunburn!) We love Christophe's 3-in-1 Cleansing mask with lemon treatment which uses lemon to exfoliate the scalp, and st johns wort to re-elasticise and nourish fragile locks. Chlorine and salt are a lethal combo for coloured hair, building up and stripping out colour. You've been warned.

3. Slip slop slap goes for your hair and scalp too. Wear a hat, use a pre-treatment with SPF like Christophe's moisturising oil with lavender before you head out the door. Your colour will last longer.

4. Les Huilettes mon huilette scrub.  Perfect pre-treatment for the most healthy sun tan of all (a fake one) I use Nadine's gorgeous "Summer" gradual tan religiously.

Loved!

I’ve only had time to do one blowout with this brush but results were phenomenal. Hair was soft and shiny, and the brush is incredibly light so no arm fatigue. Loved it!!
